Are you constantly cleaning stained showers, replacing limescale filled kettles and disappointed with rough laundry? Then find out what benefits a water softener can bring to you and your home.
When naturally soft rainwater passes through layers of chalk or limestone rock, it absorbs calcium and magnesium and becomes ‘hard’. Although this water is treated before it reaches our taps, these minerals remain causing scale and staining. Does this sound familiar?
Hard water scale causes expensive repair and maintenance problems to heating systems and appliances around the home, with a build up of 1.5mm of limescale every year meaning these need to be replaced more often.
Softened water gradually removes scale from water pipes by dissolving the existing deposits and scale build-up meaning your appliances will work at peak efficiency and stay that way. Showers, crockery and taps can be left to dry spotless.
The reduced amount of limescale in pipes means less fuel and time is taken in heating your house which is good for the environment and your wallet.
Staining is formed when hard water and soap combine and then clings to everything it touches. Detergents contain polyphosphates that soften the water to help clean so by using already softened water, you are not using as much of these harmful chemicals which are then being washed into the environment.
Washing becomes a whole new experience with softened water. Your hair is shinier and cleaner, shaving is gentler and your skin, towels, clothes and all fabrics take on a new fresh softeness because softened water suds wash away with no deposits left behind.
"I'm so pleased we had a water softener fitted, especially in the Chippenham area where our water is so hard. My shower screen and kettle now look brand new!".
"The Water Softener Company has been approved by Trading Standards and is proud to use the with the 'Buy with Confidence' badge".
"There was great customer service throughout - I would highly recommend The Water Softener Company!".
The softener is most often installed under the kitchen sink, however, it can be installed wherever best suits you and your home. We have a range of products to suit you and your needs once your water softener is installed.
These taps are designed to use at the kitchen sink and incorporate a normal hot and cold tap with a separate third tap for drinking water which can be filtered if required.
A simple tap that fits to the side of a sink and provides your hard water – or filtered water – only. Having this tap enables your sink tap to dispense soft cold water, which is important for keeping the rest of your kitchen sparkling clean.
The world’s first and only true boiling water tap, giving you boiling water instantly. You can choose between a separate boiling water tap with accompanying mixer tap, or the Quooker Flex or Fusion: a single tap for hot, cold and boiling water.
A growing choice for families where they have been used to buying regular or large amounts of drinks in plastic bottles. This option has choices so that you could have one combined tap that does it all, or simply add a new chilled/sparking water tap somewhere else in the kitchen/home.
